The Teacher PD workshops are designed by teachers, to cater for beginners through to advanced teachers of robotics. We focus on block coding and Python, using LEGO Spike Prime, EV3, mBot Rangers and mBot2 (for Python Coding) in preparation for competition and setting up robotics clubs.

We provide a range of hands-on workshops delivered by expert robotics teachers from the Sunshine Coast from both Primary and Secondary schools, unless otherwise indicated. The workshops run over 3 sessions of 90 mins each and are capped at 20 teachers per workshop.

  • Robotics in the Primary curriculum

If teachers are at a beginner level, we recommend that they choose 3 x workshops: Beginner block coding, Setting up robotics clubs and programs, and Robotics in the Primary curriculum. Teachers need to have some coding and robotics experience for the Intermediate and Advanced block coding and Python sessions.

We supply all the robots for the workshops, all teachers need to bring is their laptop with the software required for their session downloaded prior to attending. Information on the software required for each session is provided to teachers in the confirmation email and PDF they are sent when they complete the registration.
